Chapter 13

The Calfers drove me to the snow leopard cage. They said they were going to lock me up in the cage, but I shouldn't worry since they'd already let the leopards out. I was scared there might still one inside. They looked around to see if there were any leopards visiting home, and then they locked me in. It was really bad. It was dark and I didn't even have my TV. It was in my coat pocket and Derek had held my coat for me while we were running.

Derek was really mad that he couldn't keep me from being caught. He was outside and alone like me, except there big cats out there too. He made a spear and he used our car key as a point. He sharpened it on a rock and tied it to a stick with a shoe lace.
