Chapter 5 Monday

Today dad let me play hooky. We went to the zoo so he could spend some quality time with me.

This is a tree kangaroo in JungleWorld.

This is the sea lion pool near the building called Zoo Center. That's the old lion house in the background, where I took the pictures of the lion statues.

It must be hard for a giraffe to play hide-and-seek.

This goose is in the duck pond behind the cafeteria. That's where I met Cat and his Cub Scout pack.

Another lion statue. I had only one shot left on the roll.

This is the zoo train that was supposed to take us to the parking lot but didn't. It took us to the Education Building where Mr. Cave told us that they'd taken over the zoo because they didn't like zoos, and now we were all hostages.
